Aaron Huckstep (known to clients and friends as “Huck”) focuses his practice on real estate law, land use law, business law and estate planning. Huck represents clients to structure complex transactions and in litigation matters. His legal career began working in this area with the law firm of Hunt & Davis, P.C., in Albuquerque, a boutique real estate firm. In 2008, Huck returned to the mountains of Colorado and the Gunnison Valley to pursue his legal career with Starr & Associates, P.C. Huck’s legal knowledge and experience is complemented by his certification as a CPA.
Huck graduated from Truman State University with a B.A. in Accounting in 1998, and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2006.
In addition to serving clients, Huck also provides seminars and classes to realtors throughout Colorado on topics such as short sales, foreclosure, and other areas of real estate law.
Huck is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Gunnison County Housing Authority.
In his spare time, Huck is an avid amateur athlete, racing on whatever gear the season calls for – mountain bikes, road bikes, randonee skis, or Nordic skis. His passion is enjoying the outdoors, and he’s as apt to have a meeting in the office as on the ski hill or one of the local trails.
